You Saw Me Standing Alone by SmellsLikeBeer You Saw Me Standing Alone by SmellsLikeBeer
That was it about ending the series of ponies in our world. I just can't come up with another idea, so I think I have to stick with this for now. And I kinda like drawing old buildings. And I have to admit, I find drawing Equestria really boring.

This one started really poorly. I was going to throw it away many times, it was too simple and boring. I had some issues with the ink again too - first it was too thick, probably had dried, and it didn't flow so nicely. Then I mixed some water in it, too much, and then it flowed too much. Then I changed the ink, but it was too watery too (I prefer it a bit dryer than normal). But I'm kinda satisfied of the outcome after all.

This place isn't totally made up. It's one of the places I spent time in while I was living in my car. Some kind of abandoned factory or warehouse, not quite sure. Anyway, one of the benefits of having no home, I could go anywhere I wanted (even though I was trespassing a bit). Since I had so much time and nothing to do, I liked to search for cool places.

It's done in ink and watercolors as usual, A5

You have a talent for creating images that can tell a story, without there being a dialogue dump or some back story as to what happened. Especially with those minor details on the wall and the trash scattered throughout the roof.

One problem I have here is how much space the color of the moon takes up or to be more specific the fact that it sticks out. I don't have anything against the colors but the illumination from the moon should normally be going from darker to light as to dissolve within the rest of the background. This leads to another problem in which the water color causes rough edges and this makes Luna seem to be a part of the moon rather than a separate figure in the piece, this would not be a problem if Luna had a different color in place but the fact that she shares the same color scheme as the moon makes it hard to discern them from each other until you see the outlines.

Besides that it look good, the morning sun on the left of the drawing contrasts with the moon. Also the crosshatching on the moon itself is gorgeous. I am amazed that you can draw still life images so well, and that you are able to remember what these places look like in real life. Keep up your art!

I like these "Ponies in our world" pics,

The coloured ponies to me seem to resemble a somewhat positive ambience though the ponies themselves look so hopeless, they really stand out among the run down, abandoned urban jungle scenes,

Also love the way you did the moon :)

I loved Sinatra when he toured with Buddy Rich's killer force. Those cats were unstoppable.

Dude, if we could rate stuff posted on here out of 10, you'd get an 11 for 3 things:
1. Making a Frank Sinatra reference in both the name and the image itself
2. This being a Luna pic, especially since its S1 Luna
3. This being on ED the same day the new Doctor Who season premieres *which you can watch online already, since it airs in the UK a few hours earlier then in the US*

This looks really good-

Wait a minute.
There's a BLUE MOON. The name of the drawing is "YOU SAW ME STANDING ALONE".
...Is this a reference to Frank Sinatra's "Blue Moon"???

Did you lay watercolour with the nib? I thought, once, to use coloured ink as the only colour, but I wasn't determined enough to do it ):

Great, very atmospheric (: I think I can feel right now that cold yet gentle breeze of the night.

P.S. I like the way you digitalized it this time.
P.P.S. I can't make out, what is written on the bottom of a beer's can?

God, sorry, it took more than a week to reply. Yeah, I tried my nibs with watercolor. I was about to buy some colored inks but I first decided to test it with watercolors. When I get some more cash I'll probably buy more inks and try something new. And actually there stands nothing in the beer can, except "quality beer". Rest is just gibberish : D I'm glad you like the drawing (:

That's Ok, nevermind (:

I can't imagine how hard it is (never tried), but it looks outstanding, especially here and in your latest "Clearing the Sky". I think, smooth traditional watercolour would fit "Forgotten" better, though, but it's just me.

Another excellent piece by one of my favorite artist!

Yet... Lunaīs wings, they look kinda odd, not as much as RDīs in her last appearance, but still, do they give you a hard time, or that is how you choose to represent them?

You can draw old building in Equestria, it does have cities (like Manheattan). In fact, since it's made for a fantasy-adventure TV show, it can have just about any old (pun not intended) setting and scenery.

Poor Woona. *hugs*

You ever think of drawing an abandoned seaside carnival or amusement park? Ponies exploring an empty disneyland sounds cool yet creepy.

This speaks volumes of the fandom in as a whole. Sometimes, when the rest of the world seems subdued, rundown, abandoned, and gray, you can find a bit of color in one simple thing to hold on to, and that gets you through the most difficult times. For a lot of us it's these goofy little ponies  Great work on this :iconbrohoof1plz::iconbrohoof2plz:
